Impact House Apartments is located in southern London's suburb, in a high-rise office and residential city center of Croydon.
A reuse and extension of an existing 16 storey office block, Impact House was granted permission under Permitted Development Rights. Free access to an all-hour NHS walk-in centre had to be ensured during reconstruction, that made BIM modelling vital from early phrases of planning.
The design and development of the scheme was assisted greatly by the use of BIM protocols from early on in the project, allowing the various stakeholders and consultants to share and combine their input quickly and accurately. ZED Studio took a key part in delivering prompt BIM modelling, construction and detail design in close cooperation with local designers Geraghty Taylor Architects.
