The building of the Hungarian State Opera is an outstanding work of Miklos Ybl, which at the time of its construction represented world-class architecture and technique. As the latest renovation was more than 30 years ago and the built-in technologies were not considered up-to-date even back then, it was timely to have a complete, extensive modernization of the building as a whole.

ZED Studio was commissioned by and collaborated with Zoboki Architecture in the making of the detailed designs.
